Creating and maintaining strong, vibrant communities by strengthening leadership potential Training Resources The SRCSC provides information to community leaders about programmes that support, encourage and build the skills of existing and future leaders, and is committed to supporting existing and emerging community leaders through skill development and mentoring. Building up skills within community groups is the key to creating strength and self reliance within communities. Training is available through a broad range of agencies which are both government-supported and operating in the private sector. Government supported training programmes: Organisations which offer courses for community leaders over a wide range of sectors. RTOs: Registered Training Organisations which offer courses aimed at enhancing the skills of community leaders. Other useful websites: Links to other organisations which provide a training framework for leaders, support staff and volunteers, youth and community members. Through this website, SRCSC have provided links to those organisations offering training courses which may specifically for leaders and emerging leaders of community groups. I do believe that it is extremely important that each one of us is a participant in life and what's going on around us rather than being a spectator to it.
